Poptart Lindsay Lohan spent 83 minutes in a Los Angeles County jail yesterday, the result of a plea deal she agreed to in August after facing charges including reckless driving, driving under the influence, and being under the influence of cocaine.

The singer slash actress checked in at 10:30 a.m. and checked out at 11:54 a.m. Here's how she may have spent her time in the slammer.

10:30 a.m. -- Checks into the Lynwood Jail.
10:31 -- Issued prison uniform.
10:33 -- Introduced to cellmate, Hilda. Asks for the top bunk. Refused.
10:35 -- Begins digging a hole in the wall a la Shawshank Redemption. Covers it up with a poster of herself.
10:41 -- Buys a bag of chips (dill pickle) from prison commissary.
10:42 -- Eats said chips. Finds them delicious.
10:45 -- Pens letter to boyfriend, Riley Giles.
10:50 -- Exercise time in the yard. Plays a game of hoops with the other women. Only scores twice. Is sad.
11:00 -- Begins to write prison memoirs.
11:07 -- Gets prison tattoo. Says: Thug Life.
11:15 -- Visiting hours. Paris Hilton comes to visit. Brings Lindsay a cake with a file hidden inside.
11:30 -- Lunch in prison cafeteria. On the menu: meatloaf, baked beans, and lettuce salad.
11:46 -- Instigates prison riot.
11:48 -- Sent to solitary confinement.
11:51 -- Released from solitary confinement.
11:54 -- Released from her cell. Promises to write to Hilda.

Britney Spears faces charges for crushing feet !

Three people in the last month - two paparazzi and an L.A. sheriff's deputy - have reportedly had their feet crushed by Britney Spears car tires as she's driven through crowds.

Though no one is accusing Britney of malicious intent of any kind, she could still face misdemeanor moving-violation charges.

The incident involving the deputy's foot occurred earlier this month, reports the L.A. Times, as Spears was leaving the L.A. Superior Court following a custody hearing. Her most recent foot-crushing occurred Thursday, as she rolled out of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Sheriff's Department officials concede that all witnesses agree the singer was driving slowly, and the photographer hurt Thursday was slow to move out of the way of her car. An official accident report has yet to be completed.read more

New world record in 'ear-lifting' !

VIENNA - A Pakistani man broke the world-record for "ear-lifting" in Vienna Sunday, carrying almost 62 kilograms (137 pounds) from a cord attached to his right ear.

Zafar Gill's feat earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records, as part of a day of record-breaking attempts in the Austrian capital, organised under the slogan "Vienna - Recordbreaker".

Gill had to use a special headgrip to protect both his ear and temple, as he lifted the weight for seven seconds about 10 centimetres (four inches) off the ground.

After warming up with a more modest 30-kilo weight, Gill took up the record-breaking 61.7 kilos with only a brief cry of pain.

Gill, who himself only weighs 90 kilos, trains everyday but insists he has never had any hearing problems due to his peculiar hobby.

China bans bra, underwear ads !

BEIJING - China has banned television and radio ads for push-up bras, figure-enhancing underwear and sex toys in the communist government's latest move to purge the nation's airwaves of what it calls social pollution.

Regulators have already targeted ads using crude or suggestive language, behavior, and images, tightening their grip on television and radio a few weeks ahead of a twice-a-decade Communist Party congress at which some new senior leaders will be appointed.

The latest move by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, or SARFT, also bans advertisements for sexual aids such as tonics that claim to boost performance in bed.

The notice indicated that regulators were concerned about both lascivious imagery and outrageous or insupportable claims about some products' benefits or effectiveness.

"Illegal 'sexual medication' advertisements and other harmful ads pose a grave threat to society," said the SARFT notice, issued in the past week and posted on the administration's Web site.

"They not only seriously mislead consumers, harm the people's health, pollute the social environment, and corrupt social mores, but also directly harm the credibility of public broadcasting and affect the image of the Communist Party and the government," the notice said read more at yahoo news

Woman Gives Birth To Her Grandchildren !

SAO PAULO, Brazil - A 51-year-old surrogate mother for her daughter has given birth to her own twin grandchildren in northeastern Brazil, the delivery hospital said.

Rosinete Palmeira Serrao, a government health worker, gave birth to twin boys by Caesarean section on Thursday at the Santa Joana Hospital in the city of Recife, the hospital said in a statement on its Web site.

Hospital officials were not available for comment on Sunday, but press reports said the grandmother and twins were discharged on Saturday in excellent health. The Caesarean section was performed about two weeks ahead of time because Serrao was having trouble sleeping, the statement said.

Serrao decided to serve as a surrogate mother after four years of failed attempts at pregnancy by her 27-year-old daughter, Claudia Michelle de Brito.

Brazilian law stipulates that only close relatives can serve as surrogate mothers. De Brito is an only child and none of her cousins volunteered, so Serrao agreed to receive four embryos from her daughter.source Yahoo News

ABUJA - Nigerian schoolchildren who received laptops from a U.S. aid organization have used them to explore pornographic sites on the Internet, the official News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported Thursday.

NAN said its reporter had seen pornographic images stored on several of the children's laptops.

"Efforts to promote learning with laptops in a primary school in Abuja have gone awry as the pupils freely browse adult sites with explicit sexual materials," NAN said.

A representative of the One Laptop Per Child aid group was quoted as saying that the computers, part of a pilot scheme, would now be fitted with filters.

Housewife 'fries' her husband !

Sao Paulo, Brazil, March 26, 2007 - A Brazilian housewife was convicted and sentenced to 19 years in prison Friday for killing her husband, chopping his body into small pieces and frying it.

Rosanita Nery dos Santos, 52, drugged her husband in his sleep, then stabbed him to death two years ago in Salvador, about 900 miles northeast of Sao Paulo, said police spokesman Idmar Bonfim.

She then hacked Jose Raimundo Soares dos Santos' body into more than 100 pieces, which she boiled and fried before hiding in plastic bags beneath a staircase in her house, Bonfim said. He said police discovered the body parts after receiving an anonymous phone call.

Bonfim said the killing was either part of a black magic ritual or an attempt by the wife to collect life insurance worth about $34,000.

Citing testimony from the woman's relatives, he said she may also have committed the crime "to avenge many years of humiliation from her husband." He did not provide further details.
Santos denied killing her husband but said she chopped up his body, Bonfim said.

"She claims masked assailants entered her house, killed her husband and then forced her to cut up the body and fry it because that would prevent the stench of a decomposing body from alerting neighbors," he said.
